Product Information
Protective Cover for Heat Presses – Nomex Fabric
The protective cover shields the platen of your heat press from ink residues, adhesive and general
soiling. Instead of cleaning the platen itself, you simply change or wash the cover.

It comes down to the fabric
We deliberately use a high-temperature-resistant Nomex fabric. The heat resistance is built into the
fabric itself – not into a coating or finish that degrades over time.

What that means in practice: the cover withstands a very large number of pressing cycles at
working temperatures of around 200 °C without becoming brittle, hardening or charring. This is
exactly where simple cotton and cotton-blend covers fail – under continuous heat they turn hard
and brittle, discolour, and need replacing again and again.

The fabric is also heat-set and therefore dimensionally stable: the cover does not shrink and keeps
its fit, even after many cycles and repeated washing.

Your benefits
- Lasting protection of the platen against soiling
- High temperature resistance across the entire usual working range up to around 200 °C
- Does not become brittle, hard or charred
- Heat-set and dimensionally stable, no shrinkage
- Washable and reusable over a long service life
- Considerably longer service life than cotton-blend covers
- Available in a wide range of sizes to suit common platen dimensions
